According to a study done by Intuit, a site that shares work from home jobs, more than 3.9 million US employees are working from home in 2023.

People are always searching for a real way to make money and side hustles they can do at home. According to CNBC, Americans that are 34 years and younger with kids average savings of between $1,350 and $4,727 per year.

Over the years, I have been doing jobs from home and sharing how to make a living using freelancing sites. Today, I can share my knowledge on how to work from home and earn a living from it. Here are 35 ways to make money working from home. These jobs are flexible and you can earn cash when you need it. Even better, you can do real work from home jobs with your hobby or skills.

If you have an extra room at your house or maybe have another property, this can be a quick way to make money from home by listing your space on Airbnb. You must have an agreement in place with your tenant to ensure they understand the do’s and don’t when renting your space.

Are you a dog or cat person? You can get paid from home just by walking or watching dogs for Rover clients. You can get paid $1,000+ per month as a dog sitter on Rover.

Rover requires a background check before you can start working. The best way to use Rover is through their overnight dog care services which pay up to $28 an hour. You can still make easy money walking even while you work your 9-5.

This website is quite similar to Upwork and you can join easily and earn money fast freelancing. Create services and make money long-term or short-term. You will be required to bid on jobs and post-hourlies or services that people can purchase on a project basis. People per hour is a UK-based freelancing company. I also have an account and the pay is way higher than Upwork. Although both sites have similar work industries, clients on people per hour pay a bit more than Upwork.

11. Find Work From Home Jobs On Guru

Work from home as a freelancer on Guru and make money from home for free and with no experience. Like Upwork, Guru requires you to create a professional proposal and bid on Projects. The gig economy is a great opportunity to grow your skills and also learn new ones.

12. Test Websites and Apps

You can make extra cash by testing new apps and providing your opinion in focus groups. User testing, User Interviews, and Respondent.io are some survey sites with a higher payout. You won’t make a lot of money with these sites but you can earn cash to save or earn extra cash to buy items online.

With Usertesting, you can earn $10 for 20 mins of your time to test websites and get paid by PayPal. User interview pays up to $115 an hour for you to evaluate and give your opinion on a product.

YouTube videos are still a popular way to make an income. You can start a channel that helps people and monetize your views through google Adsense. There are thousands of people that use their Youtube channels to make a living. Nowadays you can start a youtube channel and earn money with no experience. 14. Start a Blog and Monetize it

Blogging is a nice way to make passive money online. People make money through their blogs from sponsored posts, affiliate links, and ads. Making money with your Blog can take time so I highly recommend doing some freelance gigs or having another side hustle while you build your blog business.

To start a blog, think of a niche you like to write about then go to Bluehost and sign up using this link and get your free domain and hosting for $2.99. You will need to download WordPress and add an SSL certification to protect your website.

Once you’ve set up your backend, it’s time to design your WordPress blog with a nice theme. If you don’t have clue about building websites :-), you can find a freelancer on Fiverr to do it within 3 days.

While your website is in the design phase, you can start researching topics and research keywords for your blog and sign up for google analytics and google search console. The first part of launching your blog will take time as you need to build backlinks to your websites. These backlinks will help you to rank higher on Google.

Use free tools like Google search console, similarweb.com, neilpatel.com, or Alexa site info to help you analyze your website’s SEO performance.

Working as a service provider on Taskrabbit varies. You can make just about any amount working as a tasker. The Elite taskers make more money and get better benefits because of their KPIs. To become an Elite tasker you’d need to maintain great 5-star reviews and be responsive. Once you’re at this level your services will be on the top searches.

16. Make $35/hr Proofreading

Online proofreading jobs are in demand and you can get paid online just by correcting errors in books and on blogs. You can start proofreading on freelance sites like Fiverr and Upwork or check out my post on 20 websites to find proofreading jobs. Caitlin Pyle makes over 43k a year in her proofreading business and teaches others to do it in her course called Proofread Anywhere.

17. Tutor or Sell Documents on Study Pool

You can earn $10 for each of your old study documents on Studypool. All you need to do is upload your PDF and get approved in 1-3 business days. Studypool has over a million monthly views on its website so it’s definitely a nice opportunity. If you want to sign up as a tutor you can make between $3000 to $5000 a month teaching academic subjects. You will be required to write an essay of 200 words on the topic you’ve selected.

18. Preply

Make $15-25 an hour tutoring on Preply.com You can set your own schedule and grow professionally. If you like teaching, I find Preply to be one of the easiest tutoring websites to get started on quickly with no experience. Once you sign up, they’ll ask you to create a video introducing yourself.

19. Make $26/hr with Magic Ears

If you’re looking for another way to get paid from home through teaching, I highly recommend Magic Ears. To get started you’ll need to complete their 120 hours of Tesol certification. After you have submitted all the requirements, you will be given the materials to teach. You can set your own schedule and earn money teaching 4-12-year-olds.

20. Sell on Redbubble

If you want to own an online store, here is a nice way to earn without investment. You can create your artwork using a free tool like Canva and sell them on Redbubble’s products, even a kid can do this. This website can make you between $500-$1000 a month and you don’t need any experience.

21. Work From Home as a Freelance Writer

There are many companies that will pay you good money to write for their blogs or even for their amazon listings. I have been excited to see how the freelance writing industry is becoming so profitable. There are many freelance ghostwriters and copywriters that are making 6 figure incomes through writing.

You can get paid by helping entrepreneurs or companies that need help with phone calls, email management, social media, and graphic design among other daily tasks. Virtual assistants’ pay varies and depends on the jobs they are doing but the average rates are between $5-$60 an hour. There are VAs who are making 10k a month passively. If you are looking for a real way to get paid online as a beginner or someone with little to no skills, you can join freelance websites and work as a VA.

25. Offer Your Services On Thumbtack

List your professional services on Thumbtack and get paid in your local area or online. You can make some good money on Thumbtack with your handyman services or any other services that can help people around their home or office. Thumbtack has over a million views per month on its website so there’s no doubt you can sell your services and make money.

26. Real Estate Wholesaling

Real estate is a lucrative business model to get paid and make money passively. I have been around a lot of top earners who are making lots of money without being licensed realtors. It’s basically making money in real estate with no money.

Real estate wholesalers look for motivated homeowners with a property that’s vacant, distressed, or in a foreclosure situation then they negotiate a really low offer to these sellers in return for quick money. They use free tools to find homeowners’ information and give them a call. This literally takes no money and you can make 10k to 100k a month!

After they have negotiated the price and signed a contract with the homeowner, they’ll find a cash buyer or investor to sell their deal to for a profit.

27. Notary Signing Agent

What exactly is a notary signing agent? Over the past 4 years, I’ve worked with real estate professionals and loan signing agents are also one of those people. These are licensed real estate agents that offer to sign closing documents and they typically work with Escrow officers and Mortgage companies. You can make between $300-$500 to sign a closing document. If you think about it, you can make a lot of money if you are able to partner with title companies around your area.

28. Drive for DoorDash

If you need to know how to make money driving, you can deliver food to any location you like and work when you want. DoorDash drivers earn cash from each delivery and even more with tips. Although making money driving for Doordash may vary depending on the distance and time of the day, it’s still a nice way to make money legally.

To get started with this, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old with a valid Drivers’s license and up-to-date Insurance. You will be required to do a background check which will take about 7-10 business days. After you’ve submitted the required paperwork, you’ll be mailed a credit card to make payment for customers’ orders.
